Firstly we all went to M.S.UNI. pavilion ground at around 5:15 a.m. and over there many schools and teams come and we all together went to Nadiyad to represent Vadodara district. It was Nadiyad district sports ground. It was first time when Gujarat association and DSO’s jointly organized competition. The chief guest over there were internationally & nationally trained and among them Rajuja sheikh was gold medalist of Javelin throw in Assian games. Then, after 20min. we all became ready for the events in which we participated. The management over there was the best. Many students of different district participated in the competition like Ahmadabad, Gandhinagar, Junaghadh, Narmada, tapi etc. It was the first time where the competition took place on that ground and we all students inogarated it. Now, telling you something about the events I will tell you about the first event which 100mtr. Race. Following with shot put in which Arpan took part but unfortunately there was no student who competed him. He threw 6080mtr. In girls under 16yrs. Manushi took part and achived 4th position by throwing the shotput for about 4.84mtr. Next event was high jump in which Dwij of our school student achived second position by jumping 1.40 m high. Next event was girls 100mtr. Race in which Maitri took part and completed in 17 sec and achieved 2nd position as the first one completed in 13 sec. Shivangi & Mili took part in discuss throw and the ground was internationally prepared every one given a trial throw & Shivangi was the first one to strat the competition under 16yrs. As following was Mili and other two competitiors . The highest throws by Shivangi was 11.5m and other two two throws were in the range of 10m and highest thrown by Mili was 11.80m but unfortunately the first two throws were considered as foul. A girl named Akansha threw the dicuss about 19m. Sakshi of IX std took part in 1000m race as well as 400m race. In 1000m race she achieved 2nd position by taking 14min.25 sec. In 400m race she got tried that is why she got 4th position. Yash took part in 1600m but due to stomach pain he left the race after 2nd round. Then after completion of all the events in which we took part we all sat together & saw different events that took place.
We all returned to Vadodara from Nadiyad by 6:30p.m. We all enjoyed and because of principalmam and teachers we got opportunity to go to the event. We all understood what does the actual competition mean. Really it was very tuff but all did their best. We would improve our performance in next competition.
Arpan – 1st in shotput
Shakshi – 2nd in 1000mtr.
Maitri – 2nd in 100mtr
Shivangi – 4th discuss throw
Dwij 2nd in high jump
