International Yoga Day

Report on International Yoga Day (2016-17)

As we all are aware that being fit and healthy keeps the diseases away. It makes us strong and increases the immune power. The oldest and safest way for keeping any one fit, strong and healthy is yoga. So is believed by our P.M. Mr. Narendra Modi. On 21st June 2014, he declared this day as the ‘International yoga Day’. So, from that day onwards every year 21st June is observed as “International Yoga Day”.
American School Of Baroda had celebrated this day by performing yoga exercises. The students were asked to perform various yoga exercises such as Surya Namaskar, Anulom-Vilom, Kapalbhati and other various Yoga-asans. Our Principal, all the teaching staff and the admin staff too participated enthusiastically during the yoga exercises.
The main aim behind this was to motivate the students to do Yoga which keeps them fit and strong.
